Water finds a way

This permanent installation artwork evokes the movement, and dynamism of the water's glistening surface. Its flowing current, differentiation, and depth relates to the studies of the healing arts and sciences taught within the building.

Water has long been associated with healing and wellness -  while it also represents movement, direction, and purpose. Much like the students who enroll at MBCC, the faculty and administrators who guide, and the research that informs their studies - they all, like water,  find a way.

It consists of a series of 189 exterior-grade, painted metal panels. The simple vocabulary of forms are similar but unique in their placement, giving texture and depth to the facade. These panels span up the facade of the building creating a textured beacon for the presence of the school to be seen from the surrounding area. It is to celebrate the meaningful education and practice of those who attend.
